Dr. Husam Khalil, associate specialist, is a GMC-registered doctor with over 8 years of clinical experience, specialising in trauma-focused mental health care. As an accredited EMDR UK practitioner , Dr. Khalil has established himself as a dedicated trauma therapist with excellent knowledge in regard to neurodiversity and rehabilitation psychiatry.
Currently serving as an Associate Specialist in Psychiatry at Independent Mental Health Hospital specialising in locked rehabilitation hospital for females, Dr. Khalil integrates trauma-informed approaches into complex psychiatric care. His role encompasses psychological formulations and EMDR therapy alongside traditional psychiatric responsibilities including CPA reports, tribunal assessments, and multidisciplinary team leadership.
Dr. Khalil’s journey in trauma therapy builds upon comprehensive psychiatric training completed through the Peninsula Deanery’s core training program.
