Dr Jennifer Horan MBChB MRCPsych is a highly experienced General Adult Psychiatrist with over a decade of consultant-level practice across multiple NHS boards in Scotland. She specialises in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of adult mental health difficulties, with particular expertise in community mental health, risk assessment, and the management of complex conditions including ADHD.
Throughout her career, she has held consultant posts across Glasgow, Clackmannanshire and Edinburgh, providing comprehensive psychiatric assessments and ongoing management for adults with mental disorders. Her practice is firmly grounded in collaborative, person‑centred care—working closely with patients to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate treatment.
Dr Horan completed her medical degree at the University of Glasgow in 2004 before undertaking extensive core, higher, and specialist psychiatric training across the West of Scotland, including general adult, addictions, liaison and forensic placements. She became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2009.
