Elizabeth Meynell-Kennedy
I’m an experienced Adult and Children’s ADHD Nurse Specialist and Non‑Medical Prescriber with over nine years of dedicated practice supporting individuals and families throughout their ADHD journey. My nursing career has always been rooted in compassion, clear communication, and evidence‑based care, and I remain committed to the 6Cs of nursing in everything I do.
Across my roles, I’ve developed strong expertise in ADHD assessments, medication initiation, titration, and ongoing clinical reviews. I work in line with NICE guidance, continually expanding my knowledge through training and reflective practice. My experience across both paediatric and adult ADHD services has given me a deep understanding of how ADHD presents at different stages of life, allowing me to tailor care to each person’s needs.
I’m confident managing complex caseloads, conducting structured assessments, supervising colleagues, and contributing to service development. I pride myself on creating a calm, supportive environment where patients feel listened to and understood, and I’m known for my warm, approachable style and clear, compassionate communication.
Outside of work, I’m a mum of three, and their activities keep me busy and entertained. I love supporting them in their hobbies and watching them grow into their own passions. My favourite place to be is by the sea — it’s where I feel most relaxed. I also enjoy running, and you’ll often find me singing and dancing around my kitchen, usually with my children joining in.
Above all, I am passionate about ensuring that every patient receives personalised, evidence‑based care that empowers them to understand their diagnosis and feel confident throughout their treatment pathway. Supporting individuals and families through ADHD assessment and medication journeys is a privilege, and I strive to make that experience as positive and reassuring as possible.
