Registered Mental Health Nurse | Independent Prescriber | Adult ADHD Clinical Nurse Specialist

I am a Registered Mental Health Nurse and Independent Prescriber with almost 20 years’ experience, predominantly within the NHS. Throughout my career I have worked across community, acute and urgent mental health services, with specialist roles in addictions, specialist perinatal mental health and, currently, Adult ADHD.

My specialist area is the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of adults with ADHD. I carry out comprehensive ADHD assessments and, where appropriate, support people throughout their treatment journey, including medication initiation, titration and ongoing reviews.

I understand that many people come for an ADHD assessment after years of trying to make sense of their experiences. I enjoy taking the time to understand the person behind those experiences, exploring how ADHD may have affected different aspects of life and helping people gain a clearer understanding of themselves.

My wider background in mental health means I take a holistic approach to assessment, recognising that ADHD can exist alongside other mental or physical health conditions. I believe in providing compassionate, evidence-based care, ensuring people feel heard, understood and involved in decisions about their care every step of the way.
